It’s a 2-day-long Medical Education event that takes place at ICLO in Verona, Italy. Prior attendance of DAA courses (such as the SkillsLabs "Bone Preservation Solutions for Primary THA Using the DAA") or experience in the OR of the DAA for primaries are prerequisites to take full benefit of this course. Attendees will get the opportunity to perform hip surgeries in the lab, under the support of world-class faculties.

Hip SkillsLAB: DAA: integrated care from Primary to Revision

The first day of the course is focused on discussing the challenges that delegates are encountering in their learning curve for the DAA. Specific insights on the DAA technique and solutions for a standardized workflow in the OR are addressed. Clinical cases will guide the discussion on the mastering of the DAA and provide hints to possibly extend the use of the DAA for patients. Delegates are going to take part to theoretical sessions and debate with the faculty.

The second day of the course is focused on wet lab session in which delegates, in small groups, actively perform primary total hip arthroplasty cases with the DAA on anatomical specimens, assisted by the faculty. They will learn good practices, tips and tricks, and they will apply the solutions discussed on the previous day.
