Main responsibilities:
- receiving the production programme to be carried out and implementing it independently within the required timeframe, guaranteeing quality standards
- carrying out the set up and commissioning of the machine used in the department, loading the necessary tools onto the machines
- after reading the Working Cycles, enter the machining data on the machine panel according to the procedural standards, carrying out the appropriate operating checks and starting the machines on the basis of the information available
- set up the machines according to the assigned Work Cycle and on the basis of the tools prepared by the Tool Warehouse
- intervene, if necessary, on the machine programme, making the necessary changes to remedy the anomaly detected
- check the good functioning of the machines, the state of the product during machining, record the control data of the pieces on a special file and is responsible for the declaration of the production progress to the terminal
- carry out minor maintenance work
- propose possible improvements for the processing phases and to improve the efficiency and quality of the product
- report any non-conformities
- carry out control activities autonomously
- in cases not developed by industrialisation, examine construction drawings, propose any improvements in product feasibility and, if necessary, run CNC programmes that do not require the use of CAM
Education:
Diploma in a technical field (preferably mechanical or mechatronic engineer) or vocational institute
Other skills:
- Previous experience, at least two years, as a CNC operator (lathes, milling machines, multitasking), preferably gained in the field of precision mechanics
- Dynamism and aptitude for teamwork
- Ability to problem solve
