Indirect Purchasing Buyer

The person will be responsible for supplier and provider relations, negotiations and market analysis, ensuring the entire order cycle and timely delivery of Services, Indirect Materials and Corporate Investments.

Main responsibilities:

• Define and manage requests for tenders, purchase orders and negotiations based on the requirements and technical specifications of the Company Management
• Manage scouting activities for new or alternative suppliers based on specifications provided by Management, negotiating purchase prices, terms and conditions of payment with continuous benchmarking activities
• Implement the transformation process from purchase offers to purchase orders through SAP and JDE Oracle management systems, following company procedures
• Being the administrative and financial manager of the entire order process
• Define and update purchase lists
• Monitor purchasing trends on an annual basis
• Manage cost saving initiatives

Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate has an economics or engineering background and has 2-3 years of experience in the role of buyer, in structured, modernly organised manufacturing companies with an international focus.

The ideal candidate:

• will be able to independently manage requests for offers, orders, price lists and related system updates
• is available for occasional business trips
• has excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
• has excellent organisational, communication, planning and problem solving skills
• has excellent analytical skills and is reliable and precise
• has an excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of German is an important plus
• Proactivity and dynamism complete the profile

This position is based in Villanova di San Daniele del Friuli (UD), with possibility of smart working.
