Senior Product Development Engineer Extremities

Major Accountabilities: 

• Drives the assigned project timely and effective to market release by defining direction and objectives; ensure alignment of the
  project core team.

• Support professional developments of junior engineers and engineers of the technical office through coaching, tutoring andknowledge transfer to ensure their continuous growth and enhancement of their professional skills.
• Actively participate at KOL’s meetings to collect projects requirements, pro-actively discuss open points to define the projectscope and present results according to work progress.
• Analyzing project requirements and their translation into project inputs, validation and verification requirements (IOVV), planning and organizing the activities of the assigned technical team according to main Gantt milestones.
• Accountable for engineering deliverables (3D models, 2D drawings, FEM analyses, etc.) for the design freeze of implant devices and the related instrumentation according to project requirements and design inputs, and responsibility of congruency of the design to such inputs and design for manufactoring check and timing.
• Technical management of all the assigned projects deliverables.
• Accountable for delivery, of design rationales and test protocols to support the product development project’s phases and to support the registration of the products into the target markets, especially in the Q&A phase with the notified bodies.
• Develop and manage the Product Development documentation for the development and registration of the implantable components and instruments according to the Project Plan (Risk Analysis, IOVV, Test Plan, etc.).
• Proactively communicate and interact within all the Company functions for the respect of timelines, costs, quality standard and project objectives.
• Assess problems and risks, conceptualize new opportunities and make recommendations regarding product development.
• Manage, with the support of the Product Development Manager, the relationships and collaborations with suppliers and research entities that are involved in the product development projects’ work packages or research studies.
• Proactively interact with customers and main stakeholders, scouting new opportunities to improve current products and develop innovative solutions to address customers and market’s needs and to support the definition of new strategies and visions for the Unit.
• Represent the Company in the best light and enhance organization reputation.
• Good understanding of the biomechanics, implant classification/positioning and typically manouvers in the operating theater; good knowledge of competitors.
• IP support: patent analysis, patent application preparation and FTO.

Requirements:

• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineer
• Approximately 4 years of experience in R&D
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Good knowledge of finite element analysis
