The first session of the 2025 Contemporary Challenges in Hip and Knee Surgery (C.C.H.K.S.) has just concluded in Madrid, marking a significant milestone in orthopaedic education. Over two days, a distinguished faculty of leading experts guided participants through critical discussions on unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA), total knee arthroplasty (TKA), and total hip arthroplasty (THA).
The knee session, chaired by Prof. Stefan Eggli and Prof. Nick London, provided a unique platform to analyze the evolution of knee procedures, examining past experiences, current methodologies, and the future trajectory of knee surgery.
The hip session, chaired by Prof. Francesco Benazzo, Prof. Boris Holzapfel, and Prof. Georgi Wassilew, focused on total hip arthroplasty (THA), exploring the current challenges, advanced surgical techniques, and breakthrough innovations shaping hip care.
We extend our sincere thanks to the distinguished faculty, whose expertise and contributions were instrumental in the success of the session. Let's keep #CreatingBetterTogether!
Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce the continuation of the Contemporary Challenges series in Madrid with a dedicated Shoulder Surgery Forum (C.C.S.S.). More details will be announced soon.
