Highlights from the Knee Kinematics Meeting in Rome
We have just concluded the Knee Kinematics Meeting in Rome, Italy, a high-level scientific event dedicated entirely to advancing understanding of knee kinematics, from unicompartmental (UKA) to total knee replacement (TKA).
During the two-day event, international experts and orthopaedic surgeons explored how natural joint motion can be successfully restored through the powerful synergy of innovative implant design and precise surgical technique.
The meeting offered a comprehensive, clinically focused exploration of current concepts and evolving trends in arthroplasty.
- Implant Design: investigating its impact on knee kinematics in UKA and TKA.
- Surgical Technique: Practical insights into alignment strategies and the role of enabling technologies.
Rather than traditional lectures, the event fostered peer-to-peer exchange through interactive panel debates and extensive clinical case sharing.
