The Bio-Hip-KI project
We are pleased to announce the successful launch of our Bio-Hip-KI project on July 1, 2026, which is funded by the Free State of Thuringia and co-financed by the European Union. As part of this project, in collaboration with Mathys Orthopädie GmbH, we aim to develop an innovative, low-wear, long-lasting hip joint implant, particularly for younger and active patients. The ceramic hip cup will be connected to a titanium structure—designed to promote optimal integration into the natural bone—using joining technology (e.g. glas solder).
