COLLO-MIS

COLLO-MIS is a primary uncemented HA-coated short stem which designed following the neck-conservation philosophy. Its aim is to preserve the bone stock of the proximal femur.

Designed to preserve bone stock

Intended to enable faster functional recovery for patients

Allows tissue sparing surgical approaches

About

The Collo MIS short stem is designed for femoral neck conservation, coated with a double coating of PoroTI and hydroxyapatite.

The COLLO-MIS femoral stem is the prosthetic solution for femoral bone preservation. The stem’s elliptical cross-section design allows for primary fixation in the femoral neck without changing the neck-diaphysis angle (CCD angle). The COLLO-MIS longitudinal fins increase stability even in the presence of torsional loads. The shortened neck reduces the incidences of lengthening of the leg with subsequent stretching of muscles and tendons. The medial curvature of the stem varies with size and enables a physiological load transmission. The COLLO-MIS distal tip of the stem is uncoated to reduce the risk of stress shielding. The COLLO-MIS stem is indicated for primary or secondary osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis of the femoral head, in the absence of severe deformity of the femoral neck.
