About

LimaCorporate’s PLS stem was launched in 2003. It is a cementless stem for the partial or total hip replacement.

The PLS stem has a macro-roughened surface to allow osteointegration of the stem and permits an optimal secondary stability. The PLS stem is available in two different anatomical configurations: standard and lateralizing. These configurations allow an orthopedic surgeon to reconstruct the different joint anatomies by transferring the rotation centre from a standard position (reference offset 39.5 to 55.3 mm) to a lateralised one (offset +5mm). For each configuration (standard and lateralizing) 11 progressively increasing sizes are available. The stem is manufactured in Ti6Al4V titanium alloy.
