Surgical Technique, EN , US only
The stem offers distal fixation thanks to the conical shape, enhanced by fins for rotational stability. The Grit blasted stem finish allows for bone long-term fixation. The modular necks have a free choice of rotation and a range of offsets and heights to allow the biomechanics to be restored independent of the stem fixation. Their modular design aids to recover biomechanical parameters.
The stem features a unique four degree offset of the stem's male taper. This allows for fine tuning biomechanics and/or bone preservation of the Greater Trochanter. The Stem furthermore utilizes a trusted 12/14 taper whose design and manufacturing heritage is unchanged since 1992. An increased fatigue resistance is achieved by the shot-peening process applied to the taper junction. To alleviate the risk of point loading, the distal tip provides a rounded design. Revision Stem instrumentation and surgical technique is simple, effective and straight forward.
