This leading technology provides a unique titanium alloy component with material continuity from the core to dome, replicating the cone structure in order to optimise mechanical resistance [6,7]. TT Trabecular Titanium allows for primary stability and bone ingrowth [2,3,4,5]. Optional bone screws can be used to support stability in cases of insufficient bone [2]. TT Trabecular Titanium offers optimal porosity and pore size promote enhanced vascularisation and mineralisation, favouring new bone formation [14,15], specifically 87% bone in-growth in cortical bone ad 68% in cancellous bone [18].
DELTA TT Pro is indicated for use in total primary hip arthroplasty, in cases of osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis and hip dysplasia, as well as in first revision surgeries in case of good remaining bone stock. Trabecular Titanium provides excellent primary stability thanks to the high coefficient of friction and the press-fit interlocking between the cup and the acetabulum, with 1 mm difference with the acetabular reamers, and secondary stability due to the capability of Trabecular Titanium to stimulate biological fixation thanks to its osteoconductive potential. Furthermore, DELTA TT Pro cups feature unique polar peg on all the liners to ensure correct alignment upon insertion into the shell. This helps avoid cross-locking that can lead to rim chipping and early failure of liners.
DELTA TT Pro can be coupled with Neutral, High Wall and Protruded (face changer) liner made with LimaVit®, that is LimaCorporate’s state of the art highly cross-linked polyethylene with added Vitamin E being used clinically for several years in Europe.
