generic background for product detail page System for primary total knee replacement

Physica system

Physica system is a complete and innovative system for primary total knee replacement from Enovis, which aims to restore native knee kinematics and optimize function. Physica system offers 4 different configurations: the Kinematic Retaining (KR), the Posterior Stabilized (PS), the Lima Medial Congruent (LMC) and the Cruciate Retaining (CR).
Physica system comes with different options to suit the surgeons’ specific needs, including Enovis’s 3D printed patent technology Trabecular Titanium.

Restore Kinematic

Physica system is designed to restore the native knee movement by focusing on a kinematic respecting design.

Optimizing Function

The design aims to optimize the function of the knee to improve the outcomes following TKA.

Precision Execution

The Physica system ensures excellent functional outcomes for all patients as the surgical procedure is easy to follow and the instruments are accurate, easy to use and lead to repeatable and reproducible results. Available for all the configurations (Physica KR, CR, LMC and PS).

About

The Physica KR aims to replicate the natural knee kinematics during the entire ROM with a functional PCL.

The Physica KR replicates the natural knee kinematics during the entire ROM with a functional PCL. Its unique femoral component and patented asymmetric tibial liner ensure correct tibio-femoral contact and increase mid-flexion stability by maintaining the same joint space and ligament isometry throughout the range of motion.

The Physica CR, thanks to a thinner anterior flange, together with a large deep trochlear groove, permits a good patellar tracking and PTA to an enhanced quadriceps efficacy.

The Physica LMC restores knee kinematics even with a damaged or deficient PCL. It offers higher stability than a CR design with lower constraint and preserves more bone than a PS design.
The LMC liner is intended to be coupled with the CR femoral component.

The Physica PS post-cam’s innovative asymmetric design restores native knee kinematics, driving roll-back and rotation during deep-flexion.
It ensures correct stress distribution and load transmission throughout flexion/extension with a wide contact area between the cam and the post. The design optimizes knee function, focusing on rotational freedom, jump height and bone preservation for stability and longevity.
The multi-radius J-curve femoral component maintains correct ligament balancing during the entire ROM.

Physica Porous Femur ensures primary stability with a press-fit design and macro-roughness, while its unique Titanium “foam like plasma spray” coating enhances secondary biological fixation for long-term stability. Physica TT Tibial Plate, developed with HSS (Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC) features two pegs and one spike for primary stability. Reliable fixation is given by the Trabecular Titanium, Enovis’ leading technology. The design allows to preserve bone without having a central keel or post and allows easy removal in case of revision.
