About this course
It’s a 2-days-long Medical Education event that takes place in Verona, Italy.
It will focus on biomechanics and kinematics in primary TKR, patient selection and enabling technologies in knee arthroplasty. A good understanding of anatomy and pathology is a prerequisite to take full benefit of this course.
Attendees will get the opportunity to perform total surgeries in the lab and explore augmented reality knee navigation (ARVIS), under the support of world class faculty. Delegates will benefit from Adaptable Arm in the skills lab allowing a streamlined procedure.
Main Topics:
• Knee Biomechanics and Kinematics
• Total Primary Knee
• ARVIS Knee Enabling Technology
Agenda
14:00 - 18:00
Knee & ARVIS SkillsLAB: Advanced Course on Primary Total Knee Replacement and Enabling Technologies
The first day of the course is dedicated to primary TKR: theoretical presentations, clinical cases and analysis of the knee biomechanics and kinematics are debated with the Faculty. The augmented reality knee navigation (ARVIS) is presented, focusing on how the system can be introduced into the clinical practice and how it supports the OR workflow.

Knee & ARVIS SkillsLAB: Advanced Course on Primary Total Knee Replacement and Enabling Technologies
On the second day of the course, delegates are joining the practical sessions in the wet lab. After a short briefing and a surgery demonstration by the Faculty, delegates are split in small groups: each attendee competes a procedure on the anatomic specimen. TKA cases are performed using the ARVIS Knee Enabling Technology and the Adaptable Arm. Our faculty members will each tutor 1 or 2 stations, assisting cases and providing tips and tricks when necessary. Attendees are welcome to actively take part to the course that should be as interactive as possible.
