First ASTRA™ Arvis™ Shoulder Procedure Successfully Performed in Ireland

Enovis Surgical is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first ASTRA™ Arvis™ shoulder procedure in Ireland, marking another important milestone in the international expansion of the technology.

On 2 November 2026, Mr. Mullett performed the first ASTRA™ Arvis™ shoulder surgery in the country, introducing augmented reality-assisted guidance into clinical practice.

At the end of the procedure the surgeon commented: "Navigation has always promised greater accuracy, but traditional systems can be cumbersome. They take up space in theatre, add set-up time and pull your attention away to a screen. This augmented reality system changes that. It’s compact and quick to set up, and the guidance appears directly in my line of sight, so I never have to look away from the patient. The learning curve was short, and the convenience means I can use it routinely rather than saving it for complex cases. For my team and my patients, that’s a real step forward".

This milestone reflects the growing adoption of augmented reality-assisted solutions in shoulder arthroplasty and contributes to expanding access to innovative technologies across Europe.

As ASTRA™ Arvis™ continues its international growth, achievements such as these demonstrate the increasing role of digital technologies in supporting modern orthopedic practice.

Congratulations to Mr. Mullett, his surgical team, and the Enovis teams who helped make this milestone possible.

This milestone marks another important step in the continued expansion of ASTRA™ Arvis™ across Europe.
